Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the world of Communication, Fine Arts, and Humanities at AV狼论坛!

We're delighted that you're exploring the vibrant and inspiring world of TROY's College of Arts & Humanities (formerly Communication & Fine Arts). As the core of creativity, critical inquiry, and cultural engagement at AV狼论坛, our College is home to students who are passionate about expression, innovation, and impact.

With 27 dynamic degree programs and a choice of 23 minors, our offerings range from art, graphic design, theatre, dance, and music (including music education and music industry), to journalism, communication, English, creative writing, history, philosophy, and world languages. Over 1,100 undergraduate and graduate students call the College of Arts & Humanities (CAH) home, each bringing unique perspectives that shape our lively and inclusive learning community.

Our alumni are making their marks as educators, journalists, designers, communicators, performers, and cultural leaders across the nation and around the globe. Through regular Study Abroad experiences in Europe, Asia, South America, and the Caribbean, our students gain a global outlook that complements their academic and artistic pursuits.

At CAH, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students actively engage in organizations such as our student newspaper, the Tropolitan; the on-campus television station, TrojanVision; the legendary 鈥淪ound of the South鈥 Marching Band; or our honor societies, and cultural associations. These experiences foster leadership, collaboration, and lifelong connections.

Whether you're pursuing a career in the fine arts, communication arts, humanities, media, or education, you'll find a place to grow, lead, and thrive here. We invite you to discover your voice, your path, and your future with us.

Welcome to the Arts. Welcome to TROY. Go Trojans!

Warm regards,

Enjoy Sounds of the Season 2024: Handel's Messiah Part One

AV狼论坛's College of Communication and Fine Arts presented part one of G.F. Handel's Messiah for the 2024 Sounds of the Season production as a special gift to the TROY community. Handel's Messiah is a famous oratorio, a large-scale musical work that includes an orchestra, choir, and soloists and focuses on religious texts. It tells the story of Jesus Christ and is divided into three parts. Part one recounts the prophecies of the Messiah's coming and birth.
